I am also sooo loving the makeover show, WHAT NOT TO WEAR! It's so funny/entertaining. Plus, it's very educational too. Errr, education in the fashion world that is. :D

I have also just finished reading THIS. I recommend it, if your the vain-arte-obsessed-with-shopping kind of person. But if your more into the serious-scifi-hardcore-ekek kind of reading, then this isn't for you.

I am also currently addicted to these babies! Gawd, ang SARAP nila! I'm literally drooling here just talking 'bout them. :P Haha. Basta, they're really good talaga! I could eat like the whole pack in just one sitting, (while watching What Not to Wear ofcourse. . .heehee), I could eat them for breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks and midnight snacks. I've been quite busy these past days. Why? KASI MAY TRABAHO NA AKO! Haha, part time lang naman. I'm serving as an accountant for my Mom's friend (nursing course ko tapos accountant e, wtf. . . haha). Madali lang naman siya, kailangan ko lang i-calculate yung credits vs debits nya for the past year. Simple math lang naman. Plus, I get to do it at home pa! Wala ng hassle kc sa excel naman, so iinput nalang yung data. The pay is really good!!! $3 digits, per week!!! keerrrching-keerrrching!!! Haha!!! I love it!!! Yey, more shopping for me!!! :D

Nag-message kasi siya sakin the other day.

Na touch lang ako. I have never been good at his class kasi. Anatomy has always been difficult for me- (yeah, nabagsak ko pa nga diba). I'm not blaming it on him though. Alam ko mahirap nga yung subject, pero of all the profs siguro na nagtuturo ng Anatomy sa school, swerte na ko na kayla Sir Sico ako napunta, hindi nga lang ako nag focus mashado kaya siguro hindi ko napasa. So anyways, na sweet-an lang ako kay Sir, coz although hindi naman ako isa sa mga best students niya, alam nio un, parang feeling ko important parin ako.

Yesterday was St. Patrick's Day here. Though I'm not familiar with who this St. Patrick is, (although I assume he's a saint - doi!), I guess it's something big here cause they did this parade and a lot of people went to see it. It even got televised! There were these Irish men with their skirts and green hair. It was fun watchin it. . . Haha, and i even remembered my infatuation for this boyband when I was younger, haha, they were from Ireland kasi. Hehe..:D

Before, I would always dream of playing with it - making snowballs, a snow man, touching snowflakes, making snow angels, having snow ball fights and the like, but now. . . Grr. . . Well, I just found out that all the pictures saved in our comp were erased!!!

Our computer was rebooted(?), or whatever the term they use to "refresh" the system pala when we revamped our place. . . kaya pala may mamang pumunta dito galing verizon!!!

GRRR!!! Di ko alam!! Sayang naman yung pics!!!!! Huhu.. wala ng memories. . .
Pati yung ibang programs na erase, di pa naman ako marunong mag install!!

Today will be the last day of my Lola's wake. Her burial will be tom: Saturday, 3pm (Phil. time) at the Manila Memorial Park. She will be buried next to my Dad's grave. Well, atleast magkakatabi na sila ngayon. Hindi na malulungkot si Daddy kasi may kasama na siya. . .

Woah. It's been a while... Umm, I haven't been able to blog since the passing away of my Lola. So there. . . But, we're much better now. Ofcourse life still goes on for us. We're smiling now. We're eating right now. We're finally getting some sleep now. We have fully accepted God's will now. We're moving on. . .

Okay, starting now, happy thoughts nalang. . . Para good vibes na tayo. . .LOL! :D

Update! Update!
What happened this week:

1. My mom had a 2-day leave from work so we re-arranged our apartment. Hay, kapagod. . . But it was worth it. Atleast now may divisions na yung place namin. Studio type kasi siya so walang rooms, kaya nilagyan na namin ng dividers. So now, meron na kaming mini living room, dining room and bedroom. It looks so good now. . . So cozy. . . At home na at home na talaga kami kahit malayo kami sa Phil. :D

2. The Daylight Savings Time came early here. Dapat daw April pa yun e. I dunno kung bakit pero maaga siya ngayon. Ang weird nga ng feeling ng DST na yan, parang tuloy nabawasan ng 1 hour un araw ko, since nga nag move forward ng 1 hour. Ewan, di ko parin maintindihan mashado yung use nyang DST na yan. . .heehee. . . :D

4. Umabot na yung phone bill namin sa $500-kakatawag sa Phil., plus yung O-tel pa- $150 na, plus yung cellphone bills pa, which I dunno kung magkano na. . . Grabe!!!Buti nga di pa kami napuputulan. . . :D
($500=25,000pesos) + ($150=15,000pesos) + (unknown cell bills) = OMG!!!!

5. I want to get a JOB! Since sa fall sem pa naman ako makakapasok- which is on September pa, I wanna help with the expenses naman. Good din para atleast may experience naman ako. To meet people narin. I wanna work sa malls, kahit anong shop, para atleast may discount, hahaha. . . Or barista sa Starbucks. . . Or baby sitter. . . Or sa moviehouse. . . Basta, I WANT!!!! hehehe. . . :D

6. Next month, baka matuloy na yung pag visit ko kay Mary sa Philly! :D Yey, Mary!!! Sana payagan na talaga ko ngayon!!! Yey!!! :D

7. Oh, this just came in. . . 3 of my blockmates in college at LaSalle were hit by a van daw. I still don't know the full details. I hope they'll be ok. Nasa ER daw sila eh, qualifying exams pa naman nila next week na. . . Grabe. . . I will pray for their fast recovery. Let's all pray for them ok? Hope you get better Lovely, Ana and Norris. . .Hay. . .

8. My mom won't go to work tom, so baka we'll watch a movie. . . Ay, after forever. . . Ngayon lang ulit ako makakanood ng movies sa moviehouse!!!-not counting the ones we watched sa DVDs. . . Ngayon lang ulit ako makakanood sa moviehouse since I left the Phil. Yey!!! Gusto ko Premonition, starring Sandra Bullock, parang maganda eh. . . heehee. . . Oh well. . . :D

Oh how I wish it was summer here na. Naiingit na ako sa mga summer-inspired pictures ng mga tao sa friendster. Haha. Kasi naman e no bakit yung isang part ng mundo "mainit" na, pero dito nanginginig parin sa lamig yung mga tao! Hay, it's so unfair! Kaingit!

I miss you havaianas flipflops, banana peel, or the ever-pirated version: "havana". :)
I miss you bikinis, tank tops, board shorts and the oh-so-yummy boys in your form fitting trunks.(ooohlala.:D haha)
I miss you ice cream!!! Especially You, cookies 'n cream!!! ;P

subways and man-pigs

Subways.

The easiest way to travel through the outskirts of New York is via riding the subway.

The subways here are the equivalent of the MRT's and LRT's that we have in Manila.

Yes, it's very accessible and very useful indeed. The fare rates are really cheap too, there are tickets which you can buy for only $7/day,and that's unlimited riding na (meaning: kahit ilang sakay, kahit pabalik balik pa, basta in one day lang).

BUT...

There are a lot of really scary stories about the subways here. Examples are the muggers who literally push you off the track upon incoming trains. So ofcourse mamamatay ka nun, gutay gutay pa yung katawan mo. Though I've never believed these "urban legends", napatunayan ko nga na they really are true when I saw them on the news a few days ago. So natakot na nga ko... But last Wednesday, something happened that made me realize na may mas nakakatakot pa pala kaysa sa mga muggers. And those are the MANYAK jerks that literally takes advantage of people, especially during rush hours when the trains are so full/siksikan na.

So my mom and I were on the way home na. 1 stop nalang before we get off and here comes this short-Espanol/Mexican-looking guy. . . Since siksikan na nga, ofcourse, everyone was standing close to each other. As the train started to move I feel something "feeling" my butt. SO ofcourse i didn't mind it naman, hindi ko naman naisip na someone was trying na manghipo, and kasi nga siksikan, akala ko it was a bag of someone close to me lang. Pero naman, nung gumalaw na yung kamay niya, then it was confirmed. . .nanghihipo nga siya. Grabe, I really didn't know what to do. I just froze from where I was standing. Tapos gumalaw galaw nalang ako and I turned to look at him. Hindi naman siya makatingin, pero atleast tumigil siya. Hindi ko din naman siya masumbong sa mom ko kasi I didn't want to make a scene out of it naman, and I know pag sinumbong ko siya, nako, mata lang niya walang latay. So ending is I let it go nalang.

I swear if something like this ever happens again, nako, I won't keep my mouth shut anymore. Lalaban na ko. I now know my rights here. I can sue him right away for doing something like that. Nabigla lang ako, I was caught off guard kasi e, pero next time talaga, humanda na sila. They might say America has a liberated culture anyways. . .But I don't give a fcuk! Panghihipo will always fall in the same category as rape- which then falls into the category of sexual abuse.

And to that maniac, whoever the hell you are. . . may araw ka rin! Makakarma ka rin! If not you, maybe someone close to you. . .your mother, your wife, or even your daugher. Only then will you realize the kababuyan you did to me, or to the other girls that you took advantage of. I swear, babalik yang ginawa mo sayo, you disgusting pig!
